About Yes. Didn't go deep into this topic. There are syringes of a special design, squeezing the contents deep into the wound, probably in the form of a gel. All kinds of bandages and dressings. Making a gel or liquid from a powder is not a problem.

That will have to heal by ‘second intention’, as it’s called. From the edges in.

Keep it clean and protected with dressings, changed twice daily (more frequently in the first few days) and you’ll be surprised how quickly it goes.

2 days have passed since the injury or 24 hours after the first application of the powder. There is no blood. The bottom layer of powder is wet. The bandage breathes and does not press. The size of the fingers on both hands are the same (not swollen). I'm like an hour without a bandage, let the crust dry.

It's about trying to create a tiny percentage of absorbed curcumin in the body = curry needs to be eaten three times a day, for years. this is not my way.

A clean spider's web is reputed to stop bleeding and heal wounds too (if you don't happen to have any of Sergei's super-top-secret-proprietry-unavailable haemostatic powder conveniently to hand.) Don't use the dusty old fly-blown muck you are likely to have in the workshop though, find some nice, fresh, dew-bedecked gossamer web.

The liberal application of giraffe and dog saliva, mixed with cobwebs, spiderwebs, eggs and curry powder has long been a favourite with the NHS, hence it being such common practice in A&E.

I would never suggest, disinfectant and a suitable wound dressing, cleaned and changed reguarly, that's just so yesterday, even if clinically proven, pah, what hogwash.

I'm a straight to the local witch doctor kind of man, sacrifice a goat, a local virgin if necessary, on full moon obviously.

If it's really bad I'll hit the hard core stuff, homeopathy, oh yeah.

Freshly squeezed hedgehog juice is in the late clinical trials phase, prior research into squeezed squirrels proved inconclusive.

Yeah squirrels are a PITA, hedgehogs at least have their own hypodermic needles for administering said juice .

Just perhaps, a drop of citric acid solution might not do too much harm? I don't think adding inhibitor will do much.

I recall those memorable days a few years ago when my angry grinder took the back of my hand off. Worse still, the nurse at the A&E put totally the wrong kind of bandage on, and within a few days, it looked very nasty indeed.

I'd not be reluctant to try cobwebs. The last serious wound I had was a deep cut to my forearm, about 3" long and deep enough to see the veins and ligaments. I was trying to fix a rotovator and the spanner slipped off the nut. There was little blood or pain despite the depth of cut and it was clean. My wife cleaned it with colloidal silver water and covered it for a day. The next day she changed the dressing for one soaked in apple cider vinegar, and again the following day. Within a week it was properly healed with only a small white scar.

No pharmacutical companies were used in the treatment: I made the colloidal siver using distilled water and silver rods, Kali brewed the cider vinegar. Perhaps you remember the Jack and Jill rhyme from childhood.

By the way, never use apple cider vinegar on a wound that is not completely clean. It heals so quickly that it will heal over any dirt and trap it in the wound.

If I had accepted my friend's shocked offer of a lift to casualty it would have involved hours of waiting and bureaucracy, stitches, local anaesthetic, antibiotics (and later probiotics to restore intestinal flora destroyed by the antibiotics), nsaids, ... I much prefer natural remedies when I know them and have them to hand. I trust nature.
