Rust treating leaf springs

    All high strength steel ( tensile strength above 1000 N/mm2) are subject to hydrogen brittleness if exposed to electrolytic treatments and acids.

    You can counteract this by heating the parts to 180-200°C up to 5 hours.

    By "exposed", i'm guess this would include minimal scrubbing/washing?

    Probably not ,but then the phosphoric acid won't do it's magic neither

    well at least 3 leafs fit in the oven!

    I know after my stuff was plated they was put in a drying oven but I dont know for how long and at what temperature?
    I think it will be a non issue but time will tell.
