Whats wrong with the colour ?.... all stock officer ...All looks good from here, as long as you are happy, well all good apart from the colour

Weather was too good not to get some paint on, epoxy, 1 hour break, hi build, 30 min break and some thinned out left over paint from a while back as a guide coat and weapons og choice !! The bullows is some 60 years old but sprays fine, the gti is at least 20, it was easier too work with something i knew !

Continuing weather means more paint time, struggled with the bonnet and boot, hood and trunk for Fred, as it was a little too thick, but thinned it down for the doors and it went on better and further, hence the tow bar being rushed into place for a quick coat. No garage time next 2 days so hopefully it'll all harden up

Still progressing slowly, damp weather hasn't helped and a few breakthroughs on roof and a dip i had missed probably due too all the welding, few flip front repairs/modifications on going .... summers coming !

And the summer well sun arrived so i challenged flatting off the boot lid and dash console bit, cracking on with the boot first it was 600 ! then 1200 then 2000. Out came the 3M fast cut plus extreme and i used the DA with a black foam, mistake as it left it quite dull, then some G10 and some autoglym resin stuff, wasn't happy 
So on to the panel, same as above till i got to the fast cut did it by hand on a bit of cloth, then used my small buffing black pad on the G10 which worked out better with the Maguires gold polish ....
Only went back over the boot lid with the 1200 and fast cut on a cloth, G10 on a mop and Maguires and it came out good ...phew !

I think it was Fiat that said "No more monochrome" recently. Their intention is to reintroduce colours to the road and good for them I say. I have never understood this mania for "Any colour as long as it is a shade of grey".

Just too conclude the ongoing mess !! i broke through through on the front, i found a void under the paint so went with a bit of radical repair, gouged it out, filler, primer, paint all by had, it's hardening off at the mo. So i put the rest of the front together so i can get it too mot this week sometime to keep it rolling and work through my remaining list of jobs !
