German NCO, can't remember exactly what rank, I know it was in use in WWII One of my hobbies is an interest in WWII.

Stabsfeldwebel, about same as Warrant Officer in British Army, which what what I was, addressed as sir, but for some reason, it seemed that they thought I worked behind the bar in a club because I often heard them calling me a barsteward.

Ah, the best branch, and the sleepiest!! I was a tiff, but try not to hold that against me ha ha. I worked on 4.5/30mm/small arms, had that section on Lancaster for 4 years as a PO but left at the end of 2000 after 9 years.

Rip Van Winkle had Nothing on me.
In Gulff 1 when I was up country we got some incoming. Some took a picture of me sleeping in a slit trench.
I left in 2000, yes I do miss it, but I am still having fun blowing stuff up, down and side ways.
The other week I made a glitter gun.

Yeah I still miss it, though all things considered I think I left at the right time before the OM branch really kicked in, and the pay 2000 thing amongst others!

Ha ha we's always could get a snooze in - 8hours a day and anything at night is a bonus !!

If you want to live, do not mention OM.
The only good thing what came out was my WREN OM , by the name of Ball.
I left in 2000, along with some good friends and we all say it was the best time, after 2000 it went down hill.
But, as you say 8 hours a day and bonus at night.
Did you ever get to play with the DART?

Never did much with dart having been on 2 type 23 but I did some work on Nottingham on their dart loading system when I worked for cfm. Mainly mopping up om33 with my overalls while lying underneath the hoist!!

Oh yes that dam hoist. The Ark one never worked properly from day 1.
You worked at CFM. Wow nice to of met the one and only, I thought and knew it was Coffee, Food and Make and Mend.

Hmmm, I'm in the middle of designing and building an inspection system to find defects in 30mm ammo (HE and tracer)... odd thing is that it only has to check 2000 rounds a week, I'd have thought the average cannon these days gets through that many a minute...!
