Part 16.
Painted the cross beam last night, the paint still feels soft, so I welded the uprights to the base bars.
The next job is to assemble the main beam to finalise the control box dimensions and layout, including allowing clearance for the drive motor/gearbox, then finish the base frames welding.
More to follow another day, after the paints gone hard.

I try to build things to last, which means that they end up being somewhat over engineered at times, which is probably the case here, but it'll do anything I ever need.
There's still a fair amount to do, mostly making the control box casing and fitting the control system. The only thing I need now is the countersunk Allen Screws to hold the table surface to the main shaft.
Hopefully my son will be able to get these in Essex, as I can't find a supplier that stocks 1/2" unf csk screws up here....

I bought this with intentions of doing something and found something else. It’s a veeeeeeeeey tough heavy duty remote for a kemppi. Perhaps the casing and cable will be of use. Cover my initial costs as you can see in the pic and a bit of postage and you can have it. It might be ideal for you. It’s brand new in original box.

I haven't really been following any other posts/videos about tables, I did have a look at doubleboosts table but that's a tad small for my needs.
Although I did take a close look at Keith Fenners table on one of his videos.

I've looked on fleabay loads of metric and small imperial ones, but you try finding ......1/2" UNF CSK Allen Screws x 1"+ long.

Somewhere on a dusty shelf in a dark corner of a stores, theres an unwanted old crumpled beige cardboard box half full of these things......I don't mind buying a few, but I don't want a thousand of the damm things.....

1/2 UNF CSK Allen screw x 1.25" . They only have 3 in stock..I need 6 minimum...
And not at £2.99 each....well that how I read it....
