i would use 2 of these one for either side lower

then i could wedge the beam thats going to sit onto it before inserting it under the beam
then i would cross memeber the beam to under the old one so its pushing it upward but also supporting by crossways also pushing the joist hanger into the wall
that hanger gives wall support but also gives bolting access ino the wall giving further stability by bracing and also supporting
