Is it about socks or have you converted the roller bender into a mangle to dry your socks?I’m just editing a video that I madehopefully I’ll have it up later. It’s done now though

Yes that’s a good idea actually. It’s so little on mine though, I don’t think I’ll even touch it. It’s not like it’s a mile out is it.Good video and nice build.
I often see people running the work back and forth, when I was taught I was told to take the work out and turn it round each time. It allows for any mis alignment in the rollers and helps prevent the ends being out.
You can probably adjust that out with your build though so you don’t need to.
That’ll be a handy bit of kit. Was it built with a project in mind, or just cos you can?!
so now I decided it’s time to make this so I can finish the project. It’a going to be a faff but I’ll work it out.No it’s not out much at all to be honest. I think the way I was taught is just accepted practice to allow for ancient rollers and out of true bearings which is normally nearer what’s real life rather than a nice new build where it’s all tight and true!Yes that’s a good idea actually. I started a project (Christmas present) years ago that I never finishedso now I decided it’s time to make this so I can finish the project. It’a going to be a faff but I’ll work it out.
Yes I’d say so. I have some 30mm box with a 4mm wall I think. I might try bend that. I tried before but the rollers were to close. Be interesting to see what it can do but I don’t want to destruction test it hahaNice job Kim. I bet that could roll much heavier plate. The limiting factor will be the 25mm steel axles I think.
Very nice job there Kim. I might be copying that at some point if you don’t mind?

Absolutely, go aheadVery nice job there Kim. I might be copying that at some point if you don’t mind?
If nobody wants it a welding positioner maybe on the cards hahaI got another motor just like that one![]()

Excellent! Please put my name on it. I’ll grab that off you when all this is over!I got another motor just like that one![]()
Thank youyou knocked that out the park, great build and video. thanks
I may do a follow up of it at some point.
I just wish I was as good so I could make oneI wish I had time to make things like this!

I don’t think I can get a grommet big enough. It’s 20mm thick where it goes through. I personally can’t see it being an issue. The cable is double insulated as well.Nice build on the roller Kim,one thing I would suggest is putting a rubber grommet on the flex where it passes through the steelwork. That's assuming you didn't already do it and I couldn't see it in the video

I did say that will do on the feet haha. Skip that partThat would be good Kim, wiring diagram to explain how you converted mtr etc if poss please, what I like about your work is that you do it properly, no that ll do bits any where(a pet hate) ,and great video. great tool that you made there.

If I can do it, anyone can haha.I just wish I was as good so I could make one![]()
