So I have been wanting to make a roller bender for ages (I think that’s the name). I’ve watched endless YouTube videos and finally I came up with the one I wanted to make. The Channel make it extreme on YouTube made one but it was really complicated. This is similar to another I saw. Anyway, let’s get to it!
Bought myself some bearing off eBay. 25mm ID. I also bought silver steel but it’s not shown up and the seller won’t reply to me
So using some channel steel and flat bar I welded the flat bar to the side of the channel.
The top bit of channel that I’d cut the same length I welded some 10mm square bar to guide it into the rails and then drilled all the holes in for the bearings. What a job
Hopefully now it all makes more sense but I drilled the holes for the upper bearings and tapped them all to M10. Tomorrow I need to grab some bolts and cut the flat bar down a bit, I made it to long. If I was to do this again I would 100% drill the holes before welding it up. Don’t ask my why I did it like that
I centred the jack and used some more square steel to retain it in place.
As it was sat in this position I thought how can I make this easier to use so...
I cut the end of the jack handle that released the pressure, welded it to some round bar. Cut off a bit of round tube for the bar to go through and made the little handle out of a bolt and then just used shrink wrap on it.
Et Voila. I’m going to name it Hernia Inducer 3000.
All together bar the bolts and cutting the top down as I said. Really pleased with it. I may try and source four springs as well to pull it down does anyone have any idea of what I could use?
