I know what I meant...
Whats bursting into flames? I’m not even building anything ... you have me worried now
Guessing you meant OP? delta9
for reference of you maz
im building the outside type myself via red brick or stone
yeah I've now realised the secondary air pipe is totally wrong...
Cheers for the advice
I've cut some bits off to show its current state...
The green arrow (in the riser/burn tunnel, that is the round riser metal, its sticking out a bit, could it hinder the spiral effect?
Burn tunnel definately too long? Really hoping to get away with shortening it
So basically I need to put the seconday pipe running alongside burn tunnel and then the air enters where the primary air takes its air from also? Would you also run it underneath burn tunnel for the extra 4 inch run? Thanks
delta you didnt do what id suggested by shortening your firebox to your cylinder
you should have something like this
View attachment 164615
just to note mine was 17" from the back of the firebox i had to reduce it to 11" from the rear of the vortex pipe on newer desings ive shortened this even more
yours will work between 10" and 11" from the rear of your firebox
Cheers gaz, yes I'll put it top of burn chamber, I'll get to work on it now, will report the outcome
Nice work
cut a hole in the side for secondary air and test fire it and watch its flames for coming up the vortex tube they do come up it like in the video if your lucky and hole it right it will be spot on
