I run a oldish diesel focus brilliant carwell, regardless of the insurance premiums, I cant cope with this megane much longer. I cant keep up with the maintenance now, it is developing faults quicker than I can fix them. used my old mans jag all day today, it was nice to drive a quiet smooth car again, the way the megane was when I picked it up, going to drag the megane to work in the morning, then kick it to motorpoint and do some serious bargaining in order to leave there with something different. depending on what is there, either an astra, i20, possibly a focus, or if needs must something a bit bigger, cant go smaller, need the boot space too much with the baby's gear. they have a few insignias too but don't like the look of them, and they also have a few of the mg 6's, didn't know mg were producing again to be honest, jus thought the ones I had seen were chevy/dodge, they have that yank look to them I think. I have upped my budget by 4k, so doubled it basically. seriously considering a Hyundai i20, but don't like the sound of a 1.2 engine, would imagine it will rev like a 2 stroke at motorway speeds, but it claims 57mpg so not sure what to think. can test drive as many cars as I want tomorrow, and spoken to a lot of people that say they are very helpful with finance prices and payments.
like an idiot, I never read through the history when buying the megane. I did the other day when digging it all out to try and get rid of it. there are over 3k worth of auto electricians bills, and over 800 quids worth of parts from the local motor factors/garages. the local auto leccie must have been gutted when they sold it to me, he lost a lot of money after that lol. starting to see why they got rid and were willing to let me drop 600 quid off the price without arguing about it
