I know a few other arty types who work in three dimensions and none of us can draw, it seems to quite a common one. Odd that.
Funnily enough, I have zero artistic talent yet always do the same.
Never drawn an actual plan for anything yet, (other than basic diagrams to describe things to other people). I expect you likely do the same as in that what you envisage initially always tends to be somewhat different from what you end up with too, due to so many minor alterations and changes being made to the plan in your head as you go along?

Must admit, I'm not generally one for modern art/structure type stuff, but that does have some nice form to it. It's not akin to being poked in the eye with a sharp stick, like some stuff these days.
