No not yet, I have some ideas kicking about and some bar, tube and angle steel sitting on the bench waiting to be pieced together.123hotchef......did you make a length stop for cutting piece work?
Not sure if there is hole drilled through base for one. Will check on mine in a while, when I re-commence with pump.No not yet, I have some ideas kicking about and some bar, tube and angle steel sitting on the bench waiting to be pieced together.
there is no hole on my one, I may bolt a piece of 20mm onto the leg with a grub screw and piece of bar then another section coming up and another going back towards the saw if that makes senseNot sure if there is hole drilled through base for one. It is looking good and will be pumping suds very soonMore progress with pump. Sleeve machined and screwed 18mm, extremely hard work. Was a scrap cryogenic valve spindle I think. Tough stuff. But no18mm nut and no18mm taps.. Needs base, check valves and tie-rods.
Easier to buy 18mm nuts. Push rod inserted. 1/4 bsp fittings just as indicators.

Either that or it'll be the scrap bin. It'll look nice amongst the rusty steel. It is looking good and will be pumping suds very soon
Go on where was it????Either that or it'll be the scrap bin. It'll look nice amongst the rusty steel.
The body stainless was very machinable, creameries scrap I think. But the spindle ...argh!
Broke a good few inserts on the thread.
Also found the 1.75mm pitch on the Colchester.....You'd never guess where...
If I tell you I will have to.....it's not in the leadscrew table, it's the imperial feed table 0.068" feed the required amount is 1.75mm = 0.068897638". Close enough? If it was a long nut on a long thread then ok....but. Ran it down with cheapo die. Just as long as the clutch don't slip.Go on where was it????
Easier than die work. Physically that is.I have not ventured into screw cutting yet!
not if the die is in the tail stock!Easier than die work. Physically that is.
Trust you!not if the die is in the tail stock!
It starts by rolling up your left trouser leg, being blindfolded and smeared with chicken blood. Or you could just look on Youtube if you've not get the bottle!.I have not ventured into screw cutting yet!
