It definitely wouldn't work.

I wish I had seen this before I purchased 2 of the single arm evolution ones! that one with twin arms for the side supports looks so much stronger

The twin arms definitely are better. Like I said mine's had heavy use/abuse and still functions as it should

it works 6m lengths of 8x2 does bend the arms a wee bit
