Thing is being Japanese its unlikely to need the alternator changed.
As an ex mechanic I've learned what to buy...........Japanese cars.
After a new car recently and my needs were....not british, not german, most definitely not French or Italian, doesn't really leave a lot.
In the end we bought a Suzuki sx4 for the wife as a match to my Suzuki swift, which I bought after getting rid of my old Suzuki swift and previously 2 mazda 323's(one owned for 14 years with only minor repairs).
I don't need to spend much time repairing them.
This is true! as well as my beloved Morris Minors, I drive a 1996 Toyota Starlet as my daily runabout. Never needs anything doing other than servicing and MOT work and the work I have done on it has been easy to accomplish. And I'm going to keep it running as long as possible as said above the newer cars are far more crammed in under the engine bay to give more passenger space.
