Resin printer question

Yes I was thinking of this one as well. The stink doesn't come out of the machine much when running anyway. It is when you open it and and transfer to the wash tank etc.

I've just ordered the bundle, but not a/the purifier, as yet. The Elegoo purifier is cheaper from Amazon or Ebay than direct from Elegoo.

However, with you saying the fumes & such occur when you open the tank, I'm wondering if I may be better off getting something like this:

which will work for the flat in general, rather than being specific to just the printer. Especially this time of year when the stove will be starting to get some use, a standalone, general unit may be preferable?

I agree, I also have an extractor that vents outside. I moved the whole thing into the shed and there are two extraction units that run when I am in there.
To be honest, I haven't actually been out to the shed for months as I've not been my best.

I've been using a Saturn 1 and currently the Saturn 2 for years. I've also got the Jupiter.

It's a different ball game from filament and yes it is messier but I've got the Mercury X wash system so the Saturn bed pops straight in the IPA tank. My workflow is:

Fill tank with resin
Start print
On completion clean as much excess resin of build plate with silicone spatula
Remove build plate with model and clean in IPA for 3mins
Remove from IPA and remove model from plate
Remove supports
Clean in clean IPA for another minute (I use the two tank method)
Let air dry or use compressed air to remove excess IPA
UV cure for (typically) 5 mins

I would suggest getting an A3 (min) silicone mat - as used for pet feeding.
Silicone spatula
Spray bottle of IPA
Stainless funnel with integral filter
Rubber gloves!

The smelliest part is during cleaning when the IPA is saturated with resin. During printing there is a "mild smell" - I run mine in the Emporium (spare bedroom).

When things are running well there is little mess. Things get messy with a failed print, you may have debris in the tank which needs to be removed either by filtering or performing a 'screen clean'.
