Not at the price the OP posted links for mate. Have you any links for decent cheap mag drills though??A new decent pillar drill is going to be that and more. Plenty of mag drills below £600 that will do just what the op needs.

He'd pick up a better second hand pillar drill for that money but in the original post, he said he doesn't have time to find a used one. He'd pick up a good secondhand mag drill for that money too.
What about fixing the Emco's gearbox? Should be there cheapest option.

I have a startrite and had it for years and while i would not want to mill with it I found it drills well enough. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Startrite...551?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f4aa9b117 close enough and a number to ring I would guess...There is a guy that does lathes not too far away and going by his website he sometimes has pillar drills.
Ordered a tube notcher last night so I can get going again once that arrives but still need a pillar drill so I'm still on the look out.
A very strange listing,a floor standing drill mounted on a bench.Would be worth checking the speeds,in case it's too fast for larger drills.I have a startrite and had it for years and while i would not want to mill with it I found it drills well enough. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Startrite...551?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f4aa9b117 close enough and a number to ring I would guess...
He says its one of 3 floor standing drills he has though. And as he has a phone number I thought it might be worth a call to ask..Yes it looks like it has been modified to mount like that as part of a production line.
Seeing as you're in Wiltshire, that might be the people who I bought my mill off, if so then I'd recommend them, they were very helpful. There is a guy that does lathes not too far away and going by his website he sometimes has pillar drills.
