This is the crankcase from an 250CC two stroke. I can't remember if it's a Honda RS or a Yamaha TZ250, one of the two, the guy has both.
The poor lad has tried doing his own helicoil repair, and now is within a hair of the bearing bore.
He bought it to me to machine out and press a plug in, which could then be drilled and tapped. But I've told him the wall between the damaged hole and the bore is too thin.
I've suggested Belzona 1111. Could fill the hole with some grease proof paper on the backside. Allow to set and in theory drill an tap.
Thread is M6.
Any thoughts.
