I no the master doesn't need injectors coded, but trafic do they? Codes for injectors are just saying "aaaaaaaaaaaaaa" not a normal code as such

Ok, have to see of I can borrow timing tools to see if it is timed right. Not very happy at a grand it still isn't running. Hardly rocket science timing an engine that's out on a bench

Won't hurt to run it up on brake cleaner to prove if its fuel delivery or valve timing!

We are having a warranty issue with Garret over a Merc E280cdi VNT Turbo. I have removed and refitted the turbo four times now from the V6 diesel.

If I whistle in nearly comes off on it's own!

line the belt up with the timing tools,remove the bung on the front of the timing cover at the injector pump gear,look up at 11 o`clock position there should be a hole in the gear,if its at 5 o`clock the timings 180 degrees out.then you have trouble.................................

i have crank pin but not cam tools - but should get a rough idea if pump is out...

Read the last few posts in this thread db. It's not uncommon for vans these days to go to 200,000 miles with only regular maintenance in a lot less than 6 years.

I would agree with this to a degree!

I reckon the turning point is 160k then anything can go wrong!

Diesel is history! When they bring NOX testing in, diesel engines will cost the earth!

HP small petrol engines are the future!

well i checked it roughly as i dont have the 2.5tools i had a pin that would lock the bottom end.

Anyway the pump is off - so now wait until monday and let him sort it after his lovely xmas break
