Next is a Range Rover I bought as a complete set of spares for mine (both same age 4.6 P38). The engine sounds like a bag of spanners (hence it was cheap) but I suspect it may be that the engine is fine and it's just the drive plate. At least with this one, my expectations are low and if it's just a drive plate I'll be a very happy bunny!

I assume you're referring to slipped liners? I only have it as I have a 3.5T twin axle trailer I use for moving cars (and large items) around. I've looked at other options, but very few 4x4 actually have a 3.5T capacity, most are 2T. I brought the second RR on the trailer towed by my RR! There aren't many other 4x4s with that capacity.
It wasn't that expensive (OK, so it only does 17mpg, but I don't do that many miles!), so when something breaks (and I've learned my lesson!) get rid of it and buy another!

ive had three 3.5 classic RR and one P38 that i had for only 4 weeks,enough said
..i used to tow large power boats with my classics and a car trailer no bother. The P38,s where great for all the buttons and toys but imho thats all they had going for them.goodluck anyway Peter.
