Just buy bp premium.Tis was posted on another forum, never tried it, looks interesting, may need additives?
What does the collective recon?
Was an issue with trials bikes. Fibreglass/plastic tanks softened and stretched. It can, I'm lead to believe, make some plastic fuel tanks swell. Ducati have had problems that have been blamed on this. It may also affect aluminium if left in long term, methanol fuelled engines are sometimes started and flushed through with petrol.
I'm being vague as I've not seen it myself.
In Milton keynes of all places (likely due to proximity to Santa Pod) BP ran a trial a while back at 2 stations of 102 RON. As I filled my bike I felt my trousers being yanked down, it was expensive.
Certainly saved detonation up to 16 psi

Carbs gummed up when left standing.
Used to shut the petcock and run mine dry.
Pop the tank and drain if I wasn't riding for a while even after I switched to ethenol free.
I quite like alcohol fuels tho, the 5 - 10 % pump blends tho are somewhat anoying for pet cars its cost me a few fuel pumps, id rather have 85% + ethanol as long as the duity refected its lower calorific value as my enigne loves alcohol more than i do. but low % blends seem to bring all the problems and none of the gains,
id be intresting to know what affect removing the ethanol has on the octane rateing i bet the supplyers are useing ethanol to knock the RON rateing up a bit as well
