You can solve anything with fire and violence, an old scrap man told me years ago.

Just go easy with the Brimstone.

Caustic soda is a also used as a drain cleaner and oven cleaner.
Just dilute it with tap water and pour down the drain.
The carbon it has in suspension is just the same as what you would was down the drain with oven cleaner.

In my yoof I was a plant fitter, diesel dumper exhaust pipes used to get clogged almost solid by the operators holding the injector rack wide open all the time.

Preferred method of cleaning was to get the oily carbon burning with a gas torch, then turn off the acetylene and feed it with pure oxy.

Watching the dense black smoke blowing across the area, listening to the jet engine noise and seeing the red hot ring traveling along the pipe was every teenagers dream job!

That is sorta the method I intend adopting to clean out a cheap chinese diesel air heater burner. I’ll be using my 5lpm oxycon and propane, so may be a bit slower than oxyacetylene.

Talking of fly tipping, this was dumped completley blocking the lane a friend lives in.

To make matters worse, when a car stopped at it later that night a couple of lads appeared and took the car at knife point.

After the car jacking at knife point Police stepped up patrols in the area, shame no one told the fly tippers
