I'd like some advice on this please.
Was planning the beaver rails to be 80x40x3mm and the across sections to be 40x40x1.6mm.
Do you think 1.6 will be thick enough?
I was planning on aluminium punched decking at 2mm thick up the sides and maybe some 25x25 box between the across sections where the tyres will drive up the punched decking.
The steel comes in at 270kgs so I'm thinking roughly 400kgs all in with the whinch etc which gives a 1400 payload as the truck weighs 1700.
I was planning on notching the rails so the across sections fit flush with the bottom, this will be braced anyway as this will be where the uprights will go where it bolts to the chassis.
