Supermarket hot chocolate powder 'jars' are see through plastic, as are the ready made sauces or soups.
I can cope with the rest of the family buying this stuff as long as I can have the containers!
Storage on the shelving tends to be recycled containers like this, from washing detergent tubs to 5 gallon drums with the side cut out.

Power tools, or most recently a garden strimmer. I cannot throw things like that away without stripping down for switches, motors, gears and even down to the screws and washers. Anything rubber are always handy for some future project.

Quite often a wander around to the local tip where they have for sale section. I occasionally pick up some useful very cheap items even if its just for the material. I have picked up a total of 4 filing cabinets for a total of about £15. Filing cabinets are not cheap! (I use 2 cabinets solely for flamables and solvents)

I've got the guts of a powered driver's seat from a Subaru. Loads of motors in there, with 90 degree drives and presumably great torque. I'm still pondering what to do with them. I thought about automating the rear doors in our Mini Estate but the electronics would have been beyond me so they're waiting for a more suitable project.

I use take-away plastic cartons to store nuts, bolts, springs etc, when restoring old machinery, write on the lid where they are from, stops a lot of those scratching of the head sessions two years later when you come to re-assemble it.

Old margarine tubs for painting and brush washing.

SMA baby milk boxes are also ideal for storing bits. But they crack if you put diesel in them
