Finally the engine is now bolted back on the bell housing with a working clutch. 
I skimmed and refitted the flywheel with a new spigot bearing, new clutch plate and bolted up the refurbished clutch pressure plate. Yesterday I turned clutch lining tool which made sliding the engine onto the gearbox a lot easier.
The sump has to come off for a bit or repair work and painting, I have started repairing the front axle to engine support bracket. It has a couple of rusty holes in it, so I am cutting it out rot and welding in new metal.
Ive gained some good space on the bench and the floor area, and the projects its a little bit further on.

I dropped the sump of today and gave it a bit of a blast up to see what the damage is, let just say there a few holes
will give this a bit of thought as to which way to go.
I also pulled out the pin on front axle to engine support bracket,
there's a bit of play there and it will make welding the bracket easier. The play is were the pin has worn away. Funny though only on one side must be where the weight sits
Me being a tight **** (I recon we must have some Yorkshire blood in us someware
) I ran some weld in the worn part
and turned it down
No play now
will give this a bit of thought as to which way to go.

I cut out all the rotten metal and welded in new steel, then tidyed it up
with the parkside grinder, so glad of the heads up on that tool I should have had one years ago, absolutely brill. Once it had been back in the cabinet to smooth the finish out it looks ok.
I also mig welded the holes in the sump as the metal was thick enough.
I was blasting this morning so while I was kitted up I blasted the axle, I now had a few parts ready for primer.
I finished the day with a bit of priming
all in all a good week.

Cheers Jp I mig welded it in the end as being old metal it was thick enough. I was actually going to lead load the holes but I could not find anywhere local that sold the lead and the right flux. I was quite looking forward to trying a bit of lead loading I spent a dew hours last night leaning how to do it. I am going to buy the materials online over the weekend as it something I want to try.

The early morning have caught up with me today so having the afternoon off, I did go down the workshop this morning just to watch the paint dry, but in the end decided to start blasting the front axles
As you can see they were heavily corroded and I did wonder if they would come up ok.
Here is a before and after pic.
They took a while and I need'nt have worried as I think they came back to life nicely.
What I will do now is strip them all apart clean all the old grease out give them a good internal wash and put new grease in. The bearing actually feel very smooth, no grouching or tight spots finger crossed they will be ok, when I get them out.

I got a few bits done this week, Last Sunday I stripped the hubs and the king pins for a good clean and re-grease.
The bearing and bushes are in very good condition just filthy, also there was a small amount of water in the hub and the kingpin. After cleaning the parts in the wash tank I reassembled the bearing packing them with grease ready for paint.
Got a some more primering done in the week, primered the front axles and a couple other parts, the sump and axle support finished.
I have also been making gaskets, love making gaskets,
I done the manifold, water pump base, sump, rocker cover, steering column and the starter solenoid, saved loads a money making me own.The copper head gasket has arrive in the week. Today I cracked on and got the head and gasket on and torqued up, I had to make a tool to get to the head bolt, on the spark plug side.
Rockers and tappets all set, also got the manifold on, and the water pump. The rocker cover is just sat there at the moment, for painting purpose, no point squishing the gasket yet as I want to also check the oils at the tappets, once its been fired up.

then got the front axle built up. I also bolted the seat on.
Tomorrow I will hopefully get a bit more done but today I am pleased with it.

Today I had to sort out an air supply as my Ingersoll Rand electric blasting compressor started to play up in the week, it has cut out a couple of times. As a backup I have an old diesel road compressor I needed to resurrect
it was my main blasting compressor until I bought the electric one, I almost sold the road compressor just after Christmas thinking I don’t need it, lucky or what. It has been sat in the hedge for at almost 3 years, and the inside was covered in spiders brambles and every other creepy crawly thing I hate. Thick gloves and a high pressure air hose soon sorted them out though. The battery was naturaly flat, I fitted a fully charged one, checked the fuel, oil was good, gave it a bit of heat, three cranks on the starter and she purred into life, it has an old Perkins 4 cylinder engine,
the tin work is slowly disintegrating but it has never let me down, beauty. I got a busy week ahead blasting, so I can sort the electric one as and when now.
With the compressor sorted quicker than anticipated, I turned my attention to the fergie, I figured I wouldn't have a better time while the tractors apart to see clean the inside of the steering box and fit some new oil seals.
Ive read a number of posts where people fill the boxes with grease or fit new seals by grind the tops off the arms, so I was expecting it to be a difficult job, I was pleasantly surprised how easy a job it is, with the box already off the tractor. I was also surprised how clean it was inside
there was only a very small amount of sludge at the bottom, you'd think I have painted the inside, cleaned its in really good condition.
There is a little surface rust on the cogs which should clean off nice with the wire wheel. I marked the position of the cogs in relation to the arms which bye the way are handed left and right. Thirty mins later and all ready for a new gasket new seals.

Been chipping away at this project as and when I got time, its slow going since I last posted. Ive repaired the dash panel and got it fitted along with the battery carrier.
and welded on a new bead on one of the front wheel rims.
The rear rims have been blasted so I could see what's what, there going to need new beads.
I have my Electric compressor back on line after changing a couple of sensors.
Ive started to strip the radiator down to repair it, it is very clogged up. have given all the parts a blast in the cabinet, I have stated to give the core a soak
And I have made a start on repairing the wings, slow going.
I did pick up a fuel tank which Ive blasted and placed on ready for some paint.
Should get the wings done sometime soon then its the rear rims then as the weather warms up get some topcoat on.
A few jobs have been cancelled due to the show season more or less being cancelled, on a positive note I will get more time on me own projects.

Wow, way to show that almost nothing is beyond repair. Most would run the other way when contemplating the work you did on those wheels let alone the resurrection of that front axle pin!

Not much has been happening on the fergie I still got to finish the wings, I have stripped the Radiator down, and started soaking and cleaning the core.
I need to get over to the paint place to have some paint mixed, its gonna be a while before I can get over there with whats going on.
the show season has been cancelled so with no blasting for a while now, I have been building mother a bigger greenhouse, from some old doors father had about the place. I have just spent the last 5 and half days on it.
Mums well plaesed with it, she has been making do with a little one since her polytunnel bloo apart

Catching up on a few posts nothing much has happened on the Fe rguson rebuild. Mother has been enjoying her greenhouse tho, I keep telling her I am not going vegitarian
