New links pre tweaking.

Moved the front top links inboard and mounted higher on the chassis. Gave more clearance for the motor.

Rear shocks have a longer spring and top mounts bought forward.

Feels much better.

Blew a couple of wheel hexes out. Good job the new wheels arrive tomorrow.

Could have made that line of the tree wasn't there.

Love the bit where it goes nearly past vertical then pulls over the rock.

Pretty much mate. Just tweaking and tuning and learning how to drive it.

Time for build no2.

Turns out I wasn't done.

Just swapped out the 35t 3 slots for 45t 3s a lot more low end torque and given better drag braking and reduced stalling. Lost a little top end but can still zap and jump fine.

Next. More rear clearance. Slice the frame lower and move the lower links up to the upper link mounts

Several iterations later I think I'm happy. Time to test em. Sidewalls are nice and stiff but have some nice squish. Side hilling was suffering with the last lot

Grown again. Not the best layout but didn't want to disturb the mixer side just yet.

Plenty of tricky lines to be found.

Your post reminds me of my indoor RC racing days in the 70's. We would spend hours on Sundays making "slicks" by cutting Armourflex pipe insulation to tyre width, rub the shiny surface off then coat them with Silicon, we found the best way to get an even coat was to put the tyres on a couple of 12 gauge cartridges and roll them together. Had to make enough for 3 meetings each week and each meeting had 3 qualifiers plus a final (if you qualified )
