I use 2 stout wooden planks across the radius arm mounts
Id not worry about navara it'll be rusting through as you even think about looking at itWith the 10mm2 armour in, voltage drop is well within limits for up to 7.5kVA. It supplies a 7.5kW rotary.
The hoist will lift the Td5 90 and little Volvo V40 without too much complaint. However, it still struggles a bit with my mate’s double-cab Navara, which should be well within the 2.7 tonne limit.
The lift motor is a 3ph 4-pole, 3.5kW one which looks very small for that power level. 30% duty cycle might have something to do with that.
I was thinking, if I could find a 6-pole, face mount motor somewhere near 3.5kW, it might cope better at the 2/3 speed. Thoughts/anyone got one one lying around?
I said that to him last week! Every time he brings it for lifting it leaves 10% of the chassis on the floorId not worry about navara it'll be rusting through as you even think about looking at it
Surprised the bloody thing hasn’t snapped in half - he uses it for towing plant.I loved my Navara…sold once the chassis issues became a themeI said that to him last week!
