Here's my air rifle, only used for target practise, .22 non FAC. I am told they are good for bunnies, but I don't like shooting animals, I'm too soft and not confident enough so I would get the local lampers in if I had a bunny problem. I think Logun went bust? I use the pump as I use it infrequently. It is a bit of a work outI probably need to sort out the desiccant as I feel a target practise session coming on
I put a new scope on it a few years ago, I can't remember the details but far better than the old one.

You're a good shot to kill a rat with a .22
Girly .177 eh
I bought a Sharps Innova in .22 from Dave at Bulmers in York when they first came out 28quid rings a bell.
Great little rifle, 8 pumps was just too much for anything but leant up the side of the pig sty door loaded ready for the odd rat. Wish I hadn’t sold it

How about 7 in one shot with an FAC air rifle? You're a good shot to kill a rat with a .22

Or, you could just leave the rabbits alone and enjoy the pastoral scene.

I thought they were meant to have a pressure relief that stopped them exceeding the air rifle limit, something like 4 pumps?
Depends on a number of factors, distance, location, light, angle, backstop and so on. I know quite a few good shots and a couple of exceptional ones. I shoot every day and I am not as good as some really good shots. Speed and accuracy, the two seldom go together. I shoot with a friend of mine who is an armed response cop and a good shot, it is always interesting watching him set up for the shot. Very deliberate and you can see him taking stock of every risk and angle. It's wired into them, if anything goes wrong they need to be able to recount the different scenarios and repeat them (I wouldn't have the job for a gold plated pension by the way) in case anything goes sideways. I shoot with another guy who is fast and would consider it a failure if he didn't get five shots in the bull, at almost any distance.
Depends, if the scene involves horses and you like to watch them put a hoof down a rabbit hole or if the rabbits have mixie. I have seen with my own eyes Railtrack dropping rabbits infected with Mixie out the back of a train at three in the morning. Railtrack don't like their embankments collapsing you see.
It's not exactly a number of pumps. They have a relief valve that lets go when the pressure is high enough to give the rifle about a 9ft lb capability.
@northwest currently borrowing a weirauch hw35 which has a sloppy barrel when the breach is closed is there a cure for this?
The relief valve was set at the factory, max power was usually achieved with just 4 pumps & once that valve lifted you could put twenty more in & it would do diddly squat. Mine did 11.5 on the four pumps. The worst thing about these was the trigger got heavier the more you put in. If you screwed that valve shut for more power the trigger pull got so heavy you couldnt hit owt anyway. It's not exactly a number of pumps.
