Try and get hold of the "De-specialised" versions of the Starwars trilogy off the internet, they've reconstructed the original movie releases in HD rather than the c**p George Lucas re-mastered versions and yes Han Solo shoots first

I was fortunate enough to get hold of a box set of the original films from HMV for a song. It's a great set. You have the choice of watching the bells and whistles re-vamped version or the original versions.

It's one of the reasons I like the Han Solo character so much. He is a baddy turned good. Any one who says that Greedo shot first will get on the wrong side of my blaster

"lawrence of arabia"

me and a mate were duty over a weekend when I used to be in the navy so we hired a load of videos to watch to pass the time.

One was Lawrence of Arabia - the directors cut. I kid you not - it had an intermission halfway through!!

It was the best part of 6 hours long.

"vanishing point", (the original one) car chase film with not much of a plot, but if you are a petrolhead you'll like it.

I finally watched it recently with my boy.
I remember the controversy when it came out.

When i heard guy ritchie was making sherlock holmes films i rolled my eyes to heaven, but they were pretty good, i was surprised.

The Unforgiven. Clint Eastwood Western, and probably (IMHO) his best
Long Kiss Goodnight (Geena Davis(?))

Mm, not bad but the good the bad and the ugly would take some beating as his best film. I may be biased as its probably my favourite film (or right up there at least) anyway!

"Once upon a time in the west", was a cracking western, claudia cardinale was hot in it and the final shoot-out scene was great too.

Definetly Ennio Morricone's sound track has to be one of the best, I have the album on my iPhone.

A truly great film in many ways - the music, Eli wallach, lee van cleef, clint, the scenery, cracking storyline ........
