12 monkeys is a good albeit....weird movie

One I haven't seen but its a marmite movie... "the Big Lebowski"

Marmite movie, I like that.

12 monkeys sent me over the edge, and I gave up.

Fargo was another one I couldn't get on with.

Didn't care much for Pulp Fiction or Jackie Brown either.

There's a film called Defiance with Daniel Craig that I've watched the first half hour of several times, and always fall asleep or lose interest.

Funny old world.

The one with gymnasium horse is, oddly enough, called the Wooden Horse.

Point Blank with lee marvin, very atmospheric and moody.

Possibly one of my favourite films ever. Remade with Mel Gibson a while back (payback?) but nowhere near as good.

Top secret, airplane 1 and 2, the naked gun films and "police squad" the tv series (forerunner to naked gun, but in my opinion even funnier) if you want some pure daftness.

I must have seen each of those films / shows hundreds of times and they still make me laugh like nothing else.

Going back to the top post. I read First Blood, and found it a good read; The movie was also 'quite' good. But then ran down hill rapidly. On the same genre, seeing The Deer Hunter bought home the disaster of Vietnam. Mrs KF has friends who served and been damaged. Australian guy I knew topped himself over his time there. Not so many realised that the Ozzys had loads of guys over there.
Lots of good films noted in the posts above, several dudes too.
