What mobo have got as there are two versions of M.2, there's M.2 SATA which is no faster than a traditional SATA 3 SSD and then there's M.2 NVMe, which use the PCI e bus. This is a direct connection to the CPU rather than going through a SATA controller, so it's much faster as @Kayos saysI have just found the new mobo can use m2 cards. which is better SSD or M2 card?

It says it supports PCIe mode so that's good and it's the one you want for best speed.
