Ignoring all sage advice the saga continues...

I can likely get a quantity of these 9" blocks for free. It'd mean a couple of estate car trips and a bit of a trek. Thinking to raise the sheds on them. Good / bad idea? The BiL suggested it but my experience of these "Celcon" blocks is they can suffer from water ingress then freeze and spill. I was just going to lay a bit of DPM on each. It is after all only temporary...my temporary...

the bil is a bodger use at your own risk

if you want to save and use them blocks as they are then you will need to underpin them by a concrete base so the concrete base is above the ground level

May I suggest that you find the video of her when she dresses as a tavern wench, it’s very watchable….

Faced with a similar conundrum on a reasonably regular basis I did/do two things.

Stopped bringing other peoples junk home in-case it came in handy. Admittedly this did coincide with work banning people from looking in skips.

Went to the scrap yard and exchanged other peoples junk for cash, and on the way back from the scrap yard, left the rest at the tip.

The University I used to work at, the Estates Departments version of "Temporary Building Works" meant
"must be good for at least 100 years".

At least you've found the rot now and can sort it, rather than find out when the back wall of the shed falls off.

The 8'x6'. All it's cost me is time, sweat and a row with SWMBO (not that I give a flying **** any more). The base is heavier than it looks and we don't work well together. "Can I make a suggestion?" she says and leaves it hanging like an accusation. This is mid when we're doing something I've asked her to help me with. Seconds pass whilst I get riled and we stare at each other. "We'll go on then!" I say.

Plan is these old Celcons to raise it up. First one on the weed fabric at whatever angle the ground is. I'll put a strong mortar between the two blocks and tamp down to level. Cannot be doing digging the ground out.

When the outside ones are set I'll lift the floor off and build some piers to level in the middle as it's as springy as. Cat access will be maintained.

my advice dont use breese blocks or thermalites like they are

go buy proper concrete blocks to do the job

for leveling the whole lot up you will need a long straight edge and a level start at one side and level that up within 2 plains and then level out from that block
