I bought a portable vehicle lift cos I’m not getting any younger and I am not keen on trolley jacks for the surface I have (imprinted concrete) and it was on offer, LOL, of course it was
.
2 things. First, is there some sort of clip to hold the hydraulic pipes on one of the bars, mainly to keep them from getting caught in the scissors action on the thing. I’m using tie-wraps at the moment but a clip arrangement would be easier to disconnect them when I’m done.
Also, it came with 2 sets of hard rubber blocks to go on the sills. All fine and dandy, and I would like to use both sets (all 8) to get the extra 90mm of lift. Are these things stackable, I mean SAFELY!! I was considering using some metal dowel pins and rubber glue to stick them together in pairs. I’m not entirely sure it’s a good idea and maybe I’d be better off grabbing some 6 inch square timber instead.
Anyway, the offending article on its first test. So much easier than a trolley jacks and axle stands. I did the gearbox fluid change and oil change in about 20 minutes.
