you'll never look at a lads mag again as all you'll see is bad text layouts, retouched models, wrong typeface, poor kerning...
Did she not already have a UCAS application in? She might have a chance via clearing this year. Otherwise applications start around November this year for next autumn

Times are changing. My wife is an accountant. Back in the 80s you had to have a degree to get a train in place, now they really are shifting to taking apprenticeships 1. The younger ones will graft as well as learn 2. Firms above 3 million have to pay for apprentice training if they use them or not. To be frank my wife did accountancy and finance but lots of her cohort had degrees in all sorts from biology to fog plating. At least you know you are investing in something that can provide a great future, I work with colleague who always had their hand in their pocket and their kids are even using the degree anyway and would earnt more money just getting a job(I know that's not what it's all about these days)
I didn't go to Uni but I'm sure the first thing I would have had to do when I arrived was find a job.
I heard on the radio the other day the money lent out for student loans excedes money lent by some major banks by a huge margin
Like I tried to point out we suffer real bad with other stuff. Call for police might be next week if they can find you. Can only get a school bus that drops 3 miles away from us and have to pay for thatI appreciate we're spoiled up here - mostly [well, for me anyway] same day, choice of times and Doctor [usually]. Fortunate doesn't even begin to describe our situation. And folk still complain about our NHS.......

Structural / Civil Engineering might also be worth a look
Though IED is seemingly in demand and not many take it, plenty of collaboration with other universities internationally and opportunities for overseas work and study.
Down to individual council how they chop the budget up.I've lived in a rural area for most of my life, I thought anything over 3 miles and free transport should be provided unless your kids go private?
A medical degree offer is basically a job offer within the NHS. That said she could go anywhere in the world with it. They get a place as a trainee during the course. As for student loans she will 100% pay it back and actually quite quickly. I am not a fan of degrees in fog plating and entering into a profession with a student loan you will likely never earn enough to pay back the taxpayers that funded it.At least you know you are investing in something that can provide a great future, I work with colleague who always had their hand in their pocket and their kids are even using the degree anyway and would earnt more money just getting a job(I know that's not what it's all about these days)

Westhome I assume, know it well. Was a great school gone backwards now results don't hold up against ribble valley state schools. Mine nearly went there till we moved.Very well worth it,Every penny put to good use,You will be an even more proud dad then Kent, Seems a long time now, but unfortunately will fly by, My Daughters two girls now nearly twenty and twenty two, went to a private school in Blackburn from the age of three, And they loved it, Cost mega bucks over the years but both doing extremely well, Very pleasing when each new generation goes onwards and upwards, without losing their roots,
