Today my eldest daughter got her medical degree course confirmed at Lancaster . Six years from now we will be expecting a doctor in the house
Gone for her actual A level results now but it has to be the least 3 A for the offer to be official made this morning
Not bad but I fear we are going to be brassic for the next five years, then her younger sister will be enrolling on whatever.

[oh, better not, that could be mis-construed
]. Hope she gets the results she needs
It's all too easy for my/our/the 'older' generation to dismiss young folk today as work-shy, drug-taking, benefit-scrounging, feckless layabouts, which is clearly not the case.......but 'twas always thus - no generation has ever been regarded as "up to the mark" by the preceding one.
. I'm going to Uni of.
