Many years ago, I was working on a staff in the centre of Brum. We had a supervisor engineer who had an immaculate desk with his paperwork in neat pigeon-holes and trays plus his neatly lad out pens, rubbers, pencils, rulers and stamp pad. Before he arrived for the day, someone had found an abandoned (allegedly!) hot dog stand off the street. The immaculate desk had been thrown in the skip. The pigeon-holes and trays with the neat paperwork, pens, rubbers, pencils, rulers and stamp pad were laid out on the hot dog stand which was placed in the same location as the original desk. The guy went ballistic when he came in but it was a funny moment at the time.

Steel Lintel that took a dozen blokes and a small crane to put in place. Waited until the end of the day and then wrote "This way up" on the back face in chalk, but upside down. My father (the Boss) went ballistic. He has the shortest fuse of any person I've ever known. On reflection it was not the smartest thing I've ever done.

I`m guilty years and years ago of turning computer screens round the wrong way, then of course internet was not inundated with every conceivable piece of information, information needed to turn it back the right way.Went back into an office and the lass was using the old CRT style monitor on its end!!
Hold the Alt key (usually positioned to the right or the left of the space bar) and then the Ctrl key (found below the shift keys) and press the right arrow key. This will flip your display to the right (90 degrees). Hold the Alt key, Ctrl key, and press the down arrow key to turn the display upside down (180 degrees).

That reminds me of when I visited Cumbria Constabulary HQ, who were a customer, a few years ago. Myself and the IT guy (Mark) were walking back through the parking lot and I spotted a Mitsubishi Evo decked out in police colours - "Very smart", I mentioned. "Yeah", replied Mark, "but how's he going to get it out?".
Then I realised that the Evo was completely boxed in with civilian cars, none of which had notes in the windscreens - "Even other cops hate traffic cops", explained Mark, "so the incoming team radio in to try and get the outgoing team to meet them in the car park and take the Evo cos, if they leave it even for five minutes, that's what happens

I borrowed a friends laptop at school to look something up, when he wasn't looking I went on Amazon, and thanks to PayPal onetouch or whatever its called, I was completely unimpeded in buying sex toys in his name and getting delivered to his house, he was not best pleased, especially as his mum saw him open this mysterious package.

There's a very famous tale of a car (Austin 7?) that was found one morning on the roof of Cambridge University (I think)... nobody claimed responsibility for a good while IIRC and I thnk the Uni had to chop it up to get it down. There was all sorts of speculation as to how it was done, mostly involving it being taken apart and rebuilt.
If I remember rightly it was lifted (intact) by an improvised A-frame crane during the night by a handful of engineering students.

Wedg1e, the same prank was done in Trinity college in the centre of Dublin too, same car and old Austin 7. I believed they swiped the car and knocked it down to its big bits and manhandled it onto the roof.
A trick i have seen done several times is a tiny, 2mm or so hole drilled into the base of someones favourite mug, and return it to the canteen shelf. Mind you this can lead to acts of violent aggression in revenge. No one likes their brew being interfered with
