I've built a smoker over a few weekends, and want to have it painted. I've spoken to a local powdercoater who has some of what he calls 'very expensive' high temp powdercoat. He powdercoated his own chiminea which is apparently holding up fine. Hi did give the the brand name of the stuff but I cant remember it now. He's quoted £80 to shotblast + powdercoat.
My question is how thick does powdercoat go on? I'm using the bullet type hinges which I will need to either drill out file back to create some clearance.
