ideas can be pinched and sold for there profit

but to make it clear ive already shown a way on the very first video i posted but i didnt add the height reference that im aware of

my issue is i dont want electric but i wanted a simple lifting system for it

hydraulic is the better one vs the issue of going around every post

i dont like screw winders as they are expensive to buy and i dont like the hammers jack either though the height is best on that one

Thread 'Car Repair Pit Ramps'

My latest project, made for bloke in neighbouring industrial unit who repairs and sells second hand cars and vans.

50x50x5mm Angle for the rails
40x40x3mm box for the uprights
25x25x2mm for the ramp infill.

welded with a Clarke TE190 buzz box and used a full 5kg box of Netto(!) 2.5mm rods.

Steel cost me just short of 200 quid from James Dunkerley at Dewsbury,
and about 25 hours welding (plus about another 20 designing)

They're just over 12 foot long.
The ramp is 9ft, the box is 3 foot.
Height is 2ft.

This was the type I was making before I retired.

I made 8 or 9 sets, I think, in total - one set is still, to my knowledge, still in use, 12 years later.
