You haveno choice if a seller chooses them based on price etc.Coming back to evri after all the bad press I can't believe people still use them

The problem is your clock starts when they purchase the service /label on line.
It then still has to be collected or dropped off. Sadly their clock starts when it reaches the depot..
I predict that your next message from them will say something like “unable to deliver your package “.
Wish I could predict the lottery numbers as easily as the above.
I don't like the way "my" Evri delivery guy(s) dumps parcels at the bottom of our driveway in view of the road rather than spend a minute walking up the driveway to deliver to the house.
On the other hand, I am amazed at how quickly parcels I order from China (AliExpress) can be shipped from abroad and then be delivered by Evri to my home address in just over a week. This beats some supposedly UK based suppliers selling on eBay.

I have always looked after our postie and made sure he got his tip at Xmas. We are out in the sticks and he usually arrives around 2pm or later. Recent eBay orders have been slow. Amazingly, we have a superb Evri guy. I'd guess that he's in his 60's, he's been here for years and I'd give him 10 out of 10. I'm also really pleased with AliExpress and beginning to look at them as alternatives to eBay.

Tried giving our wonderful postie a few cans one time from the local brewery as was delivering just as I'd come back with them. Said he couldn't accept as they're checked / search when they go back to the depot

our postie is a middle aged woman, she goes the extra mile, our old postie used to call back in the afternoon sometimes, on his way home, with mail, saying it "looked important," he left to be a driving instructor, they both got a Xmas bonus,
the usual evri guy is a gem, trouble is he is off sick, I finally understand what other people complain about,
our other couriers DPD Yodel etc are pretty good,

Evri girl brilliant here, not had a problem with them. Its Fedex and DHL that are the problem here. ATM been waiting three days now for a garden fork. For the last three days Fedex have texted saying its out for delivery.
RM definitely going downhill. Our postie of many years couldn't wait to get out last summer. Once he could access his private pension, he was gone.

I notice a lot of Ali-X stuff is warehoused in the Netherlands, so very quick delivery. Even the stuff from China is often in Europe within four days.

Both our postie and Evri are very good. Its yodel we have issues with, and Amazon each time they get a new driver. Postie rings me if he needs a signature, if Im not in the house.
We are rural enough not to need to worry about parcel theft.

Proper nice chap our postman.
Most of the units in our yard are unmanned in the daytime - people come in the morning then go off to do jobs.
I really the only one there all day/everyday - so everybodies packets and box deliveries come to mine. Or get collected from mine.
So I get to interact with the delivery drivers allot - as there are 9 units in our yard. One other unit is manned short working hours Mon to Fri - and the paintsprayer opposite mine - is only there when he is working.
So my workshop is mail central - I thought I had internet shopping habit - but you wanna see the volume of stuff some people buy.
