bottom pic the brown wires next to the diodes you need to trace these wires the ones quoted as your primary that is the link to the burnt out part underneath on the board they link up to the brown wire on the right the five pin plugs and also the brown underneath next to the green capacitor

i cant see what else is there so could you move the wires and take a photo again

the silver thing is either a transister type of unit or another type used thyristor a variable resister in old tvs to amp up the amps or voltages

id be looking at your switch transformer your diodes on metal plates
