Is 'meteorological lassitude' even a medically recognised malady?
I have never understood people who get a package and don't open it to at least check everything is present and correct. I know people who get things for their boats and 3 months later, when the part it is to replace breaks, they hand me the package to fit and I open up and it is the wrong bit. Takes a week or so to get things sorted out and fitted and they are losing valuable fishing timeFeeling guilty [and a bit of a wimp], I made it out the back door - and came straight back in, I was right first time.![]()
Any chance of a link to the item and to say how much your offer was? I’m after something like this and wonder if maybe you’ve softened the seller up for a similar offer!Email this morning to say the Seller has accepted my offer [well, it was my second offer, actually - who ever pays B-I-N price listed straight off?![]()
]. Paid for so just a case of waiting now.

Are you going to be using a 13 Amp plug or a 20 Amp?
No metal will be safe soon!

Thanks, gaz - I think I'll probably just replace the power lead with one of a sensible length. Should be easy to replicate the connections then....?
Should be - you'll need a crimper for the connections to the switch (or solder them, I guess...)
Found a random cut50 pic on t'interwebs (click to embiggen):
so you can wire white and yellow to neutral/live, or vice versa, in the plug.
Thanks Skot, that first pic looks exactly like mine - earth to case and four wires to the back of the On/Off switch. Wires at the plug end are: earth, black and white.
Just to confirm, it doesn't matter which way round the white & black go in the plug, right? Sorry to appear dim, but as you've probably gathered anything to do with elektrikery frightens me a bit and it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm shelving the idea of replacing the whole cable as the board connectors are hot-glued in place......
, I'll just make up a suitable, short extension and use that.
I've already sent a question to the Seller asking for confirmation on the connection(s), be interesting to see their response.![]()
