There were a couple of lads (brothers if memory serves) up in the north of Scotland running two of these, both in a maroon colour, in the late 70's/early 80's. They ran a garage in the village of Cummingston on the coast between Elgin and Forres. The garage is long gone!
I remember seeing those at kit-car shows in my late teens, and in the kit car press. I thought it looked fantastic, an original shape that looked good, unlike so many kit cars trying to be original. I don't remember those tail lights though (golf? Rover 200?) - they just don't seem to fit with the rest of the cohesive design.Local auction has this

It was a great car, big inside and a huge boot, the old man wasn't too impressed when I bought it home though as I was only 18
He was even more horrified when at a later stage I was hacking the inner and outer wings off to replace them

There was a lad at RAF Henlow who had a very nice one in a dark green about 1982.
Lost control of it on the bends on the Bedford Road just north of the camp at high speed returning with the take away order for about a dozen people from the Chinese in Shefford.
Barrel rolled, car interior covered in Chinese.
(Driver OK but shocked).
Car got recovered to the Motor Club's hanger and stank the place out.
Quite glad when his insurers took the car away...

Some nasty bends around Henlow way if you dont know the roads
There was a lad in Luton that had a really nice FD with some sort of V8 in it, epic to hear and see as a 14 year old

I had a J plate one for a while, metalic green with a black vinyl roof, slant 4 2.3 motor 4 speed with overdrive. ideal motor for a young chap whos ladyfriends did not seem to fussy about where they enjoyed/endured my hours/minutes of passion.

also had a ventora, 214ci straight six that had a crcked block, out that came and my first modified car was born when a 351 hemi was dropped in complete with the GM 3 speed auto. made a great car and sounded pretty cool as well

I had an FE Ventora: 3.3L straight six, 4 speed manual + overdrive.
As above, they felt like huge cars at the time (almost like yanks). I loved driving it.
Sadly mine didn't survive a series of pirouettes on an icy road followed by trip backwards through a wall. (There was a crease across the roof and the doors wouldn't close any more
). It went to somebody who was going to grass-track it.
