|'ve put new liners in mine, it was "breathing" quite heavily when it arrived. Myself and a neighbour (mechanic) have got as far as inserting two pistons when a set of incorrect piston rings stopped play. Although it was about 8 years since I bought the engine kit, Dunlop's swapped the errant piston rings out no problem, but then the first lock-down took over. Although I am confident enough to do this myself, I would rather wait until my mate can help as he enjoys doing it and we have a bit of a craic. So it will probably be later this summer with a bit of luck.
yea but your not going to bore them outI'm the engine rebuilder though!
yes, once the liners are pressed in they are bored and honed I believe, but I didn't watch them do it.Not bored yours then Andy?
