@HughF has one all accounts its good.
There is something 'odd' about the 'Menu' button. It doesn't work initially - pressing it once does not do anything. However, if you press it for seven seconds the screen flicks to strange characters/another language (maybe?). Then if you press the 'Menu' button for another seven seconds it flicks back to normal. And then (finally!) when you press the 'Menu' button works with one press and you can access the options for MMA - arc force, hot start, pulse, etc. If you switch it off and back on you have to do it all again.
Weird!
You hold the menu button down for seven secs to gain access, that is correct. The characters displayed are the short abbreviations for the settings you are changing. I will upload the English manual for you. There is something 'odd' about the 'Menu' button. It doesn't work initially - pressing it once does not do anything. I don't have a machine with LCD display, mine is an early one with seven segment LED. My menu button doesn't show the bug you have found.@HughF thanks! Seven seconds - good to have it confirmed.
I could be getting it wrong but I think there could be a slight bug in the menu operation. If you don't hold the 'Menu' button down long enough it gets 'stuck'. It hasn't crashed or anything; but you have to press and hold the 'Menu' button for longer to get out of the glitch. It just seems a bit picky about how long that button needs to be held down - or maybe it's me!

Whatever the case I'm aware of it and can work round it. If it is spotted by the manufacturers I bet a software tweak would fix it.
Bought mine (and then later the smaller Paton wire feed unit) from Paton's welding subsiduary www.paton.com.pl - they were doing 25% off offers a few times last year too!
But eBay is so simple... They make the 'Buy it now' button big enough so even after a few drinks your thumb's aim is bang on target!![]()
