Yeah I totally understand the differences of the DIY/Hobby market to the Proffesional/Industrial market. If your only going to use something 1 or 2 times per month and have a limited budget then it makes perfect sense to check out all of the cheaper avenues first.
Like I said earlier, not everything out of China or India is bad. They make some bad stuff but also some plants produce some good stuff. Its horses for courses really.
Lorch don't sell direct, only via distribution, after all, its these guys who can offer local support. I would be happy to point you in the direction of some of our sales partners and make sure that you get a great deal. I think that you would be surprised by the prices anyway, there's not a huge difference on the small inverters and 230v mig prices. Its only the bigger more high tech stuff like the pulsed migs etc which are "small car" money.
