I stock several inveter type machines and have sold quite a few of the Parweld inverters. They sell well to diy enthusiasts and professional welders alike. I will check with Parweld tomorrow about "The made in UK" tag and re-post tomorrow. I must admit though I have had very good reports about the Parweld 140 amp inverter for stick with dc scratch tig facility. The biggest problem is the rather tacky and flimsey stick holder. It brreaks quite easily. However the dinse connectors for the cables are of the 25-50 and the cables are 25mm. It is easy to change the stick holder for a more robust one and I suggest the 400 amp yellow twist type. As with all welding machines these days they are manufactured in many different locations around the world. Itallian electronics is usually quite good as with most western European countries. You usually get what you pay for BUT Inverter Technology is becoming cheaper and cheaper. There is a lovely little inverter called a Mikro supplied by Wilkinson Star to their distributors wich is a 160 amp and will lay a 3.2 mm stick down all day long. It will even weld with cellulistic rods. In rate the Butters welding inverter range and the new Javac inverters. Good luck to you all.
