    Evening all.

Been offered a thermal arc foot pedal for a cheaper price than any parweld I have seen and wondered if it was compatible

Parweld 202 being the same as the thermal arc.

    The pedal number is 10-4016.

They use different pedals and control sockets. I imagine they work on the same resistance value for the potentiometer but you’d need the pin-out info for both machines to do the conversion. What’s the best price you’ve seen on the Parweld pedal?

The Parweld pedal has a pot. on the side which is used for setting the maximum current.

    About£140+vat

This scc thermal arc is new in box at £86.

I'll keep an eye out for a proper one now I'm doing a bit more alloy.

It does but it’s only an additional pot to limit the max current. It doesn’t need to be there

It does if you don’t want full power available at the pedal at all times. That could be a pain in thin sections.

By the time you buy it, get the correct plug, then find out you get max current potential on the pedal at all times then the genuine Parweld pedal will seem like a bargain.

Is it something you could price for me or do you not deal with parweld?

Also is the parweld pedal ok as most people say the ssc pedal is smoother action.

    *beat me too it *

The SSC is a nicer pedal for sure but I’d not be happy loosing our on being able to fine-tune the current to my liking.

Just remembered I didn't update this.

Jim managed to do a little deal on a brand new parweld pedal which in my eyes made it silly to prat about with a non correct one.

So far it's only been out the box to look at but can't wait till next alloy job to try out.

Was a pleasure to deal with Davey welding supplies.
