They store for ever and take seconds to cook in the microwave, under the grill or deep fried.
Always fresh and crunchy on demand.
In the indian shops they are about 80 pence for a packet of 25

a lot of effort goes into making that tea. Its flipping disgustingIn 1960 I was working in a ship repair yard on Tyneside. The crew were Indian from the Bombay states. When I was doing a job in the middle of winter in the galley, one of the cooks asked me if I wanted a curry and chapatti. He also gave me a cup of tea, It was the best curry I've ever had like so for the tea which he sweetened with Nestles milk.

I dont know how he made the curry but I remember him grinding raw onions between two stones to make a paste as the base of his cooking.
Thanks to @mtt.tr for introducing me to the world of sourdough. Why did I not know about this sooner
My wife has the starter in the fridge for sourdough, it's been going for 8 years now. This is the loaf from last week. The starter is used in oatcakes, scones, naans and lots of other projects.
