quick question for swmbo . Sourdough starters I read about say something like , do this, do that, Then Dispose of half the mixture ? Is that correct ? Seems a waste.
So advise please on what to do. Thank you in advance.
My wife uses the spare starter to make the oatcakes and pikelets, naans and other projects and you can add it into your ordinary bread mix if you do any. We do a batch of small cobs when we can get flour but there's no strong bread flour round here at the moment.
