I think that a die grinder is a tool that has to be good and brand name
As @Brad93 said ... Metabo or Fein is the way to go
Just wondering about the "slow" speed ones
They use a planetary reduction gear (metabo) so more torque but way slower speed 9000 RPM instead of 27700

Which are the different applications for those slower ones than the high speed ones?
Other than make your pocket much more empty?

Slow speed is needed to drive larger diameter toolbits, or wire brushes, flap wheels, woven abrasives, scotchbrite type discs.

If you’re doing really heavy duty work, and want a tool to last, the only option is High Frequency grinding. Them things are in a completely different league.

I think it was 19 quid It has cut at least 50 3/4 inch rivet heads off

A good mate was a window fitter, he expected to buy a new £6.00 5" angle grinder for each large job, if they lasted longer all the better, no point in him buying quality electrical tools as certain traveling members of the populace would regularly either empty his van overnight or just take tools whilst he was up a ladder working, worked for him, me I buy cheaper tools but keep them going by repairing or swopping parts from one to another, nothing against quality but I am a bit of a butcher,

feels like bearings have sized

I have the same. Thought the front bearing looked a bit vulnerable so cut a felt pad to slide over the shaft and taped in place. No idea if it will help, I've probably only done ~x5 boiler rivet equivalents

My UK version pillar drill knackered after a month, they sent me a German one, digital rpm/depth readout and much more sturdy. Took about two weeks no hassle at all. Good luck

Like a flexible drive shaft with a die grinder end
Like the ones used on a Dremel

Saw this in Lidl a few days ago, £60.00, resisted the temptation, using my existing one yesterday, lack of torque, then it works, maybe a battery issue, high resistance? anyhow went back to Lidl yesterday, they have just built a new store one mile from my house!!!! and bought one, it comes with four deep impact sockets, charger and big battery! should be ok for home use, and to take in my Tranny when doing a long trip, also use it to wind the caravan legs up and down! lazy, me?

I'm waiting for the brushless version whenever they'll make one
This year they updated their brushless drill or might be better say they've added a new brushless drill to their products.
80Nm instead of 60 like mine

I sent some pictures to Parkside warranty
Got a phone call on Monday from Germany wanting the serial number.
New grinder arrived today no need to send old one back
I did not even have a receipt.
That is good customer service
