Appears I was just holding the torch too far from the metal! I know mine is not the pilot arc version, but Im sure it would arc before without needing to be near touching.

I need some new renewable tips for this machine and cant find the part number in the booklet, any one know what part number it is, have seen all the ebay amazon ads and some people say the parts provided dont fit. thank you.

The main wings are a sheet of aluminium, was the back of a supermarket sign, the black body is scrap aluminium sheet beaten in a mould carved out of a bit of 6x2 timber, the antenna are 1/4 copper tube.What's the black bit made from?

Been onto Lidl they just said it tells you where to get spare tips in the manual, all it gives is the German website, went on there found nothing, Parkside do make a set as I found on a youtube video, see photo, put in the part number on google and only links to overseas sites came up, I asked on the youtube video where I could buy it, also found a video where a guy puts in a copper washer to take up the slack of the loose tips, and also found out you just turn the electrodes round when one side burns down.
